2008 Season Predictions (Part 2)

Camp has started! The Raiders are in two-a-day mode. After day 1, they look like they are ready. No reported holdouts. Nnamdi signed his deal on Wednesday and was in camp on time. JaMarcus looks great even if he is 50lbs. heavier than the other Raider QB's. Walker was in camp and looks like he will be a great fit for the team. he is even taking pointers from WR coach James Lofton. Check out the photos.

As promised, here is the 2nd installment of my NFL 2008 season predictions:

AFC South

  1. 4th place will belong to the Texans. I think they may upset a team or two, but I do not see them winning more than 4 games.
  2. 3rd place will go to the Titans. they are so high on Vince Young, but I am still not impressed. He has not showed me that he can get it done in the final 2 minutes of the game. I still think he is over rated.
  3. 2nd place, this will shock most of you, will be held by the Colts. They are a great team, but with the injuries to key players, older players having a hard time maintaining their numbers and mannings surgery, they have too much too come back from. They fought hard last season, but I do not see them in the running this season.
  4. The team to win this division will be the the Jaguars. I think they are a good, improving team. I see them winning at least 10 games. That I think will be enough to win the AFC South.

All eyes are on the Packers as it was reported, today, that Brett Favre has told the Packers GM he will report to camp. Camp starts for them this Sunday, July 27th. We will see what happens. The man wants to play and I think he will play. the Packers have asked for trade offers and I know there will be some teams offering the world for Favre.

Next up, the AFC North.

Until the next time,

Raider-Man out!
