HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DAD! (And all father's reading this blog)
Welcome, I am a couple days behind. I will try to do better in the future. Let me get started.
I think the NFL Hall of Fame rule is terrible. Only 5 people can make it each year. I think it is unfair to those whose on field performance earns them the right of consideration. Take the current crop of retires from the past season. In 2013 there will be, because of the 5 rule, a large amount of disappointment come selection time. Yet, it is said that Brett Favre is a lock to make it. But, the first year ballot class that also includes Warren Sapp, Michael Strahan, Jonathan Ogden, Junior Seau, Larry Allen and Steve McNair. That brings the total to 7. Add the fact that there will be many who will be up for the second time or more, I do not think Favre is a lock to be one of the 5 selected, because they are all good and they deserve it.
OK. The Lakers wanted to make history this season and they did. I am not worried about it. They will win the next 3 and the title. What does worry me is how the NBA Commissioner can be so smug about the allegations of referee misconduct. Refs are saying they have be questioned about other refs conduct and the commish saying they are not telling the truth leads me to drink more Kool-Aid and beleive the refs. I feel someone needs to appoint an INDEPENDANT panel to look into all the chages. I think the NBA Commissioner needs to be a little more humble in his response to the media regarding all the allegations.
Next, NASCAR has been socked with a huge lawsuit. My question is why, after being employed for 2 years, did she wait 8 months after being fired to file the lawsuit? Why did she not tell her NASCAR higher-ups that the company policy was being violated before filing the lawsuit? I need to see more details before I can say I beleive her or I beleive NASCAR. I know my comments will land me in the hot seat, but such is life.
Have a GREAT Father's Day and Let's Go Lakers!
Raiderman, later.
